Calma Tours began with two people and one shared idea: travel should feel meaningful, not rushed.
Ian grew up in the mountains. As a snowboard instructor and cyclist, he learned to move through landscapes with patience, awareness, and respect for natural rhythm.
Dialo grew up by the sea. As a diving instructor, freediver, and yoga teacher, he learned the value of calm focus, breath, and being fully present.
Different backgrounds, same vision. Together, they created Calma Tours to offer experiences that feel balanced and human — active without pressure, guided without scripts, and open to the moment.
What they wanted to offer guests was simple: small groups, a flexible pace, and real contact with the places and people of the Costa Blanca. Not a checklist of sights. Not a performance. But days shaped by curiosity, conversation, and time — where guests feel welcome, relaxed, and connected to where they are.
Today, Calma Tours is a small local business based in Alicante. We share the coast and mountains we live in, work with local families, and design each experience with care for people and place.

We offer a full refund for cancellations made more than 48 hours before the tour. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable but can be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure booking system. Payment in cash on the day is also available for certain experiences. Contact us to confirm options for your chosen tour.
We do accept last-minute bookings when space is available. The best way to check and confirm quickly is via WhatsApp. We will let you know within a few minutes.
In the rare event we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule. We will contact you as early as possible and work to find the best solution for you.
Safety is our top priority. All experiences are led by trained, certified guides. We carry full liability insurance and our equipment is regularly inspected. For water activities, life vests and safety briefings are always provided.
Most of our tours run in light rain. If severe weather makes an experience unsafe, we will notify you and offer a full rescheduling or refund. The Costa Blanca enjoys over 300 sunny days per year, so this is rarely an issue.
Most tours meet at the Calma Tours office in central Alicante. Exact meeting point details are sent in your booking confirmation. Hotel pickup can be arranged for private groups.
No prior experience is needed for any of our tours. Our guides will provide all necessary instruction and equipment. Whether it is your first time on a paddleboard or underwater, we will guide you every step of the way.
All our tours are available in English, Spanish, and Dutch. Let us know your preference when booking.
Absolutely. Our experiences are designed for all ages and fitness levels. We adapt the pace to the group. Child seats for bikes are available free of charge with advance notice.
All Calma Tours guides live in Costa Blanca. They are certified, experienced, and passionate about sharing their home. They are not performers following a script — they are locals who love what they do.
